i walked past these two kissing in a doorway during the fourth of july parade. i kicked myself for not getting the shot, and finally just came back and asked for a photo. this little girl had run up while i was gone. i was worried she'd do that horrible grin at the camera that small children tend to do, but her reaction to my camera (none at all) ended up adding a whole new dimension to the picture.
And I agree, I hate that artificial smile that kids throw on when a camera is around. I hope my kids never get trained to do that, and I'll do my best to keep it out of them.
